No matter how long the data is kept, it is always stored safely and securely and following the corresponding legislation and regulatory requirements, both the 2018 UK Data Protection Act and the European Union’s GDPR.
Peachy use computer safeguards, physical access controls and SSL encryption to ensure that your data is safe with us. In the unlikely event of a breach of security leading to the destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, personal data, Peachy will notify you plus take all required steps to contain and remedy the situation.
Peachy may transfer your personal information to other countries within the European Union and in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Phishing emails and malware
Hackers may try to steal sensitive information by pretending to be Peachy or other services you trust. Be on the lookout for phishing emails, websites and links that try to trick you into entering your password or other sensitive information. Also, if you notice anything suspicious, please report it to us.
Peachy are fully aware that fraudsters are falsely identifying themselves as payday loan companies to obtain advance fees and payments from customers. These are known as “clone firms” and is illegal. Peachy never asks for, or charge, any upfront fees or payments. If you receive such communication, please contact us immediately on 0800 0124 743 or email us at [email protected]
Protection against fraudsters
Victims of fraudsters often have their bank details, money, or even worse their identity is stolen. Fraudsters assume the identification of their victim by changing their passwords and taking over the devices including phones and laptops.
Once this has occurred, fraudsters could even use someone else’s identity to break the law and also put the victim in legal trouble.
Tips for our customers in securing and safeguarding their personal data
Our customers use passwords to log in to our website.
Thus, a password that is tricky to figure out makes it prohibitively hard for fraudsters to break into your account. The more complex the password, the lower the risk that one’s computer or mobile phone will fall victim to an unwanted hack.
Peachy has our own safeguards for securing your data; to ensure watertight protection we urge our customers to create long, strong and secure passwords.
To reduce the risk of fraudsters guessing your password, take into account these features when creating your new password:
- Crucially, passwords must be long and difficult to guess.
- Long and complex passwords require extra effort and resources for a fraudster to guess.
- Adding a combination of commas, parentheses, upper-case and lower-case letters, per cent signs and characters significantly increases the passwords strength and lowers its ability to be cracked.
- Attempt to make them at least eight to twelve characters long.
Prevention is always better than cure when it comes to cyber-security
As more of our lives are kept online, new opportunities for fraudsters and other cyber-criminals are manifesting to obtain customer data.
By forming long and complex passwords, monitoring your account and reporting phishing emails and malware, customers can add an extra layer of protection to their online presence.
Together, Peachy and our customers can ensure that our data is both safe and secure from unwanted threats, yet providing a straightforward and positive customer experience.

Peachy has terms and guidelines for sharing your information with third-parties if we have a duty to disclose it, if it’s required for the management of your accounts or a law or regulation allows us to do so, or for other legitimate business purposes.
For example, so that we process your application correctly and responsibly, Peachy will supply your personal information to credit reference agencies (CRAs) and they will share information about you, like your financial history with us. Peachy does this to ensure that you are suitable for a Peachy loan, and your identity to protect against fraud and any potential criminal activity.
